I make audio drama, documentaries and audiobooks, often finding connections between all three to tell stories in a unique and irresistible way. I like to get my hands dirty, which is why I love audio, it’s hands-on. And it’s also about people; taking the time to develop meaningful relationships. Because that’s where the stories are.

It takes empathy, trust and good communication to collaborate effectively, to develop scripts in a sensitive way, and to find the best possible performance together. It also takes respect for the people who make the work, or the interviewee sharing their story.

I try to find these things when I'm working, as well as keeping something in reserve: an objectivity - a gimlet eye - searching for truthfulness, authenticity and a clarity of vision. Sometimes to get to that, you need to communicate difficult notes in a direct way. But often you can do it with small shifts, delivered with empathy and a sense of playfulness.

I’m an experienced abridger, director and producer of audience shows as well as someone who loves interviewing, editing and sound design. I have a great track record in managing big projects with diverse talent and producing an ‘immaculate’ listening experience.
